Harbour Island can be reached in 20 minutes from the North Eleuthera International Airport (ELH) by water taxi transportation or from Nassau by chartered aircraft or a Fast Ferry, as it is only 50 miles northeast of Nassau. Formerly the Dunmore Beach Club, the transformation of The Dunmore extends far beyond the name change. Re-opened in December 2010, the new Dunmore calls to mind a classic sense of luxury, beautifully reflected in the carefully renovated clubhouse, restaurant and bar.
The Dunmore consists of sixteen distinctive cottage accommodations, each thoughtfully appointed with all of the luxury amenities expected of a first-class resort. The Oceanfront, Ocean View and Garden View cottages at The Dunmore are nestled among 10 acres of bucolic grounds that are home to more than a dozen varieties of flowers and plants. A collection of intimate pathways naturally lead from each cottage to the picturesque pink sand beachfront by way of the hotel's many amenities.

Guests can dine inside the cozy, breeze-filled dining room or in the open-air dining tent on the breathtaking terrace that overlooks the ocean. The style of cuisine presented embraces both Bahamian and international flair. The menu consists of the freshest seafood and local produce promising the best flavors Harbour Island has to offer. Daytime dining is relaxed, now emphasizing a diverse new à la carte lunch menu with daily specials. Evening dining features island cuisine set against an exquisite, candle-lit backdrop.
